10 “First Loved to Love” Factoids

The mission of First Loved Ministries is to “partner with Jesus in training people to experience God’s love more deeply and remove barriers to receiving and sharing His love.” Our First Loved to Love curriculum provides training in these areas through practices developed to help you daily experience just how much God loves you . . . simply for who you are to Him. The goal is to experience transformation from head-knowledge to heart-knowledge.

Henri Nouwen writes about this transformational process: Knowing God’s heart means consistently, radically, and very concretely to announce and reveal that God is love and only love, and that every time fear, isolation, or despair begin to invade the human soul this is not something that comes from God. This sounds very simple and maybe even trite, but very few people know that they are loved without any conditions or limits. This unconditional and unlimited love is what the evangelist John calls God’s first love. ‘Let us love,’ he says, ‘because God loved us first’ (1 John 4:19).”

Throughout the year, FLM provides opportunities to discover and experience God’s love more deeply in a personal and tangible way. Please stay in touch with us either through our mailing list or on social media so you can join us on one of these adventures. In the meantime, here are ten “factoids” found in the First Loved to Love curriculum that provide an overview of some of the material we cover:
