Everyone needs to be loved. Just as our body needs food, water, rest and exercise to be healthy, and never matures out of those needs, so our spirit/soul needs to be loved in order to be healthy (i.e., secure, at peace, joyful) and it never matures out of that need. God knows that and wants our souls to “Taste and see that He is good” (1Pt. 2:3) and to experience his love that is “better than life” so that our “souls are satisfied as with the richest of foods” (Ps. 63:3, 5). Moses prayed that God would: “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days” (Ps. 90:14).

The options below each provide a “taste” while there are opportunities throughout the year to go deeper during a retreat weekend. These retreats are more immersive in three primary practices (Love Verses, The Measuring Stick, and God Sightings). They provide interaction with trained facilitators and offer a more relaxed environment to linger in the Lord’s Presence and Love. Our hope is that a retreat experience will help you in these transformative practices and begin to intentionally nurture your quiet time at home (and eventually with two others). Learn more about our retreats HERE.

Our First Loved Workshop can be inserted with a pre-existing program, such as a men’s or women’s retreat, leadership conference, targeted program, etc. This is a 2- to 3-hour program teaching the basics of “The New Way of Loving” and a simple introduction to one of the practices.

Mark Gordon Fee provides an overview through Bible-based teaching and helps groups engage with the Lord and one another in a large group setting. Mark is also available at times to preach, lead worship, or sing some of his Scripture songs from his CD Rejoice Over You. The primary purpose for Mark to preach on Sunday morning is to give the rest of the church an opportunity to get a “taste” of the weekend experience through Mark’s teaching. Email info@firstlovedministries.org if interested in having Mark present at your seminar or worship service.

Our First Loved Saturday Seminar is a place to come and “taste”, to experience God’s love in a deep and personal way so that your soul is satisfied and singing with joy.

Our Saturday Seminar runs from 8:30am-5:00pm for a full day of being loved by God and one another, mainly focusing on hearing and being receptive to His love through personalized scripture. You’ll experience this through worship, teaching, alone time, and small group time. The Saturday Seminar requires lay leaders from the host church to assist with facilitating groups. FLM leaders would meet with church leaders and lay people on the evening before the workshop to review the program and provide basic training.

Our First Loved Weekend is an extended event, taking place Friday evening AND Saturday, similar to the Saturday Workshop but with additional group time and practice as well as interaction with trained facilitators.

Our First Loved Weekend begins on a Friday evening from 6:30-10:00pm and continues the next day (Saturday) from 8:30am-9:00pm for a day and a half of being loved by God and one another, mainly focusing on hearing and being receptive to His love for us AND HOW HE HAS LOVED US through personalized scripture. You’ll experience this through worship, teaching, alone time, and small group time. Trained facilitators will interact with you during group time and lead through the practices.
